According to the Cambridge New in the UK, a puppy which ran away after its owner’s car was involved in a crash on the A10 has been found safe and well.
Digger the Tibetan terrier became an overnight internet sensation and families across Cambridgeshire have been giving up their time to try and find him.
The crafty pooch was found on land at the AmeyCespa recycling plant in Waterbeach at around 7pm last night (Monday).
Mark Hardy and Karyn McNeil, from Witchford, were on their way to meet friends at Milton Country Park on Saturday morning with their 2-year-old son Alby and Digger, when they were in a crash on the A10 with a tipper lorry and a driving school Vauxhall Corsa.
Despite their Volkswagen Golf being written off, they escaped with cuts and bruises.
But as Karyn was getting out, Digger bolted.
Mark said Digger was found by a group of local women who had joined in on the search for him.
He said: “We cannot thank people enough for what they have done. The support and help that random people have given has been overwhelming.
“Digger is now home and despite being in need of a good bath, is lazing around quite happily.”
