I received a note from my pup Sadie. Sadie is from my first litter and she lives with Grammy Jill. The pic below is Sadie in the boots Grammy makes her wear in the winter.

Dear Momma,
I was pretty bummed last week when my human Mom left for Ann Arbor (her oldest granddaughter graduated from Univ of MI on Sat--I guess she must be real smart) but it worked out alright--Dad took me up to the golf club on Fri. nite and we sat out on the patio with friends and I got lots of attention.--he didn't offer me any of his beer tho'!
I'm really excited about you and my bro and sister coming here memorial w/e but a little worried that Angus and Roxie won't be able to get dirty because of being in a dog show but @ least I'll get you to myself for a while--we'll be swimming the lake while they're stuck in a show ring-- some new dog parks have opened up in our area maybe we can check them out?
In closing, I want to tell you thanks for placing me with your Dad's Mom--I can tell she really loves me and I know I've got it good here.

Bad Dog Frida

So the other day I was in Madison, Wisconsin and I happened upon this really cool store called BAD DOG FRIDA. They have all sorts of rad things for dogs like me. Like these awesome dog portrait magnets painted by a local artist. They would be great for your fridge or what not. The painting above is from one of the magnets. I think it just may be a TT. Don't you? The artist also does commissions from photos of your pooch. Pretty fantastic!

The store is in this cool area of Madison where there are lots of nifty little shops and restaurants including a great local chocolate shop just two doors down. "Two doors down they're laughing and singing and eating chocolate. Two doors down they don't know that I'm around." My dad tried a sea salt caramel and a coconut chocolate. This was after he had a vegetarian (I think it was seitan) not-B LT sandwich and a great big homemade biscuit with honey at the diner across the street. I think we could spend a lifetime is this neighborhood and be VERY HAPPY.

Anyway, Frida's is a really spectacular store with a so many great things for dogs like me that my head was spinning. The owner, Carmen, is way cool too. Not only does she select great things that appeal to dogs like me, she also plans all sorts of cool events. Like right now, she is holding a pet photo contest. Where you can bring or send in your favorite dog photo. Carmen posts them in the window and people vote on them. There IS a prize involved!

Carmen told me about two of her customers that just happen to be Tibetan Terriers. First, there is Phoebe who is ANCIENT. I think she is like sixteen or something. Anytime Phoebe's parents think she might be about to give up the ghost, they put here in the car and off they go to BAD DOG FRIDAS. It's like a test or health check or something. They know if Phoebe gets excited when they arrive at BAD DOG FRIDAS, she is OK and retains a bit of her youthful zestiness. I heard tell that last time, she hurdled a few bushes in her path. YOU GO GIRL! Here's wishing you many more trips to BAD DOG FRIDAS.

I was also told about Scout. Scout is a little puppy TT and he sure is cute. He is featured on BAD DOG FRIDA's Facebook page sampling several delectable items from BAD DOG FRIDAS. I am now friend's with Scout's mom on Facebook. It's such a small TT world. It's a small, small world.

I intercepted this nice note from my boy Sherpa to his dad Michael.

Dearest Dad,
I know you know it, but I want to put it down in black and white. I LOVE YOU. You never fail to go out of your way to make me feel very loved and special. I couldn't help but get a little choked up when we went in the ring together the other day for the non-sporting puppy group competition. I know it was your first time in the ring and I could tell you were a bit nervous about it. Well you did a great job leading me around the ring. You did your very best to show off my cuteness. And we went home with a very nice ribbon!
It was just one more of the many fun activities that we share. Like going hiking and running, and to all those darn classes that you have me signed up for including agility and puppy social hour. You and Stephen do so many things to make our lives together so great. How did I get so lucky?
It's such a funny coincidence that you ran into my mom as she was trotting around Northampton with Angus and Roxie. I guess it was in the stars.
I'm the luckiest puppy in the whole USA!!

The Jazzmanian Devil

I received this nice update from Jazz (from my most recent litter) and Buster's (from my first litter) parents.

Hi Suddie.
Jazz is so sweet. Everyone loves her. She is also a little spitfire. We call her "The Jazzmanian Devil." She tears through the house or yard and torments her brother and he loves every minute of it. She comes when called 98% of the time. Buster comes about 75% of the time. She smothers you with kisses. Buster will allow a head rub sometimes. She is a lap puppy. Buster will occasionally sit at your feet. They both like to sleep on the bed as close to a human littermate as possible. Buster weighs in at 30 lbs. Jazz at 12.

My Tibetan Terrier is My Best Mate

I thought my dad was CRAZY about me. Well this guy takes the CRAZY CAKE.

Dogs Shows Suck

Except when you win. So this weekend they didn't suck quite so much.


My boy Sherpa had quite a weekend. He was Winners Dog, Best of Winners, Best of Opposite Sex, Best Puppy and 3rd in the non-sporting puppy group. I don't know what any of that means, but my dad seemed to get VERY excited about it.




It was a MAJOR which means he beat quite a few dogs including all the older male champions. You need at least two Majors on the road to a championship title. So, it appears, little Sherpa is well on his way. He's only 6-months old and it was only his 2nd time in the ring and already he has earned 4 points. To become a champion, he needs fifteen.

There were quite a few Tibetan Terriers at the show and Sherpa really enjoyed meeting everyone. He is a very social animal. Several nice people came up and told him he was the VERY BEST thing at the show. He sure made his mom very proud.

My little guy Rufus also had quite the good weekend. He lives halfway across the country so I wasn't able to be there to bask in his glory. I was with him in spirit though. Rufus took Best Puppy and was 2nd in the non-sporting puppy group. I think it was a fuzzy little Bichon Frise that bested him in the puppy group. Do you know that Bichon Frise means curly white lap dog in French? It really does. I googled it.

Rufus I am so proud of you. I miss you and your sister Elsa so much.
